HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR JUST A FEW HOURS?
We are happy to offer several packages from basic ceremony and formals to full-day, as well as offering custom invitations, engagement session, heirloom-quality albums, canvas prints, slideshows, and more! If one of our packages doesn’t quite meet your needs, simply get in touch with your requirements, and we’re happy to customize something for you. No request is too large or too small. You can view our standard packages here, but if you only require photography for a portion of your day, we’d be happy to accommodate!
DO I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA TO GET COPIES OF THE PHOTOS?
That would be a big NO! Many photographers out there only advertise the cost of shooting for the day, and couples are often surprised with additional costs when they want to have high-resolution, unwatermarked copies of the photos themselves. The price you see is the price you pay, and this includes all high-res, unwatermarked, professionally edited images from the day in a shareable, downloadable digital gallery with the option to order prints, wall art, thank you cards etc. directly from there.
IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO SECURE MY WEDDING DATE?
Yes. A 30% retainer is required to reserve any wedding date. This retainer is non-refundable (as we will then be turning down other inquiries on that date), so please ensure your venue is booked before you reserve your date! The deposit will be applied to the total cost of the package, and can be made via cash, cheque, or e-transfer). This amount is subtracted from the final balance. Our prices do not include tax - similar to when you look at a price tag of an item in a store; the tax will be added at the register. All prices are subject to 5% GST as per Manitoba law.
WILL YOU SHOOT A SAME-SEX COUPLE?
Absolutely. Emily has been an LGBTQ+ ally for as long as she can remember, and has even travelled internationally for an Out & Equal diversity and inclusion conference. Inclusivity is hugely important to us, and we celebrate love in all forms. We believe that it is our responsibility - and honour - as photographers to strengthen the fabric that holds us together by taking photos that celebrate our differences as well as our similarities. Love between two souls is incredibly beautiful, and we are committed to honouring diversity, promoting equality, and immortalizing authentic love in any form.
When is the balance due?
Final payment of the remainder of the balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding date. It's often easiest for most couples to arrange this prior to the day so you don’t have to worry about tying up any loose ends on your wedding day - this is also a good time for us to go over your final timeline for the day, too. No images will be edited, processed or provided prior to balance being paid. Remaining balance can be paid in lump sum or in installments leading up to the day.
WE'RE CURRENTLY MEETING WITH A FEW PHOTOGRAPHERS; WHAT HAPPENS IF WE'VE MET BUT THEN SOMEBODY ELSE REQUESTS MY DATE?
e want to accommodate all, however, bookings are based on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot guarantee reservation of a date that has not been booked with a retainer – this is designed to secure your date. If your date is already booked up with Emily personally, we do have a team of five amazing photographers, and Emily takes on all the editing, post-processing and delivery personally for every wedding.
How far out do you book?
June to October is our busiest time, with June, August and September usually being the first to fill up. For these dates, we can book a year or two in advance. But every year is different, and we're often able to accommodate weddings in the same year if they fall in the off-season or we still have your date available.
What if it rains?
Then you get amazing photos! Some of our favourite shots have been the result of inclement weather, and the emotion is just raw love and excitement, going with the flow and focusing on what's most important.
